Somewhere in the vast wasteland

Living in fantasy
Illusions of the one
Clouds within the heart
Mist covering the mind

Holding on to the lost hope
The truth that eludes
A game of hide and seek
Nothing to be won

Looking in the wrong places
Sight that is blind
To the one that is true
Standing beside all this time

Fantasy fading to the truth
Disappearing illusions
Sunlight breaking through the clouds
The drying mist in its light

Finding what is true
Truth making itself known
The real game is almost over
The time to win is now

Seeing that one in the truth
Sight has returned
For the one that is true
Standing beside all this time

How wonderful it is
The chance that is left
A wonderful future of life
To be had by me and the one

It is wonderful to find the muse that was meant to be mine for all time.

If life is just a game, when does it end cause I want to get to what is real.

Thank you Lone Wolf. It was actually an interesting write. I didn't realize until half way through that I had yet to use the words that indicate myself or someone else. So I desided to continue it until the last line. Definitely a different venue for me. I feels good to find my muse again even if it is different than my original one.
