The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-08-11 05:40 PM

Determined not to stay behind
the Maid departs tradition
she steals a weapon, tiptoes out
and follows her true passion.

No fearful lady is the Maid
she searched for her Robin
through Sherwood forest she does steal
until she fights beside him.

Once they have beaten back the men
who wish to  hold down progress
Sir Robin takes his lady fair
and gathers her in solace.

For she has thoughts she has not shared
her worry for his future
He is at risk at every turn
And yet he never falters.

So tenderly does he assure
her passion is not leaving
For much as she would cleave to him
He also holds the feeling.

This is very well done.  Just goes to show you that for every Robin, there's a Marion right behind him.

Great job.
