Each day that
dawns inside my
world is a storm
deep with in
my torn heart
I walk alone
in silence, under
a rainless sky
seeking strength
and comfort from
my own fear

In the pool of
blue tears I
see the night
and feel our
distance trailing
among my soul,
I have savored
the want, the touch,
the taste of your
body the way you
feel each time you
call my name,
each time we
speak as lovers,
only to be haunted
by your voice as
the door closes and the
nights of being lonely
begin again
love is a four
letter word
and time is
just a number

this is achingly beautiful,
such a haunting emotive piece...
excellent title, and the endings impact is perfect poetry
very well done

the longing here is so intense. . . the words just make you feel the heartache. . . I see that you must know or have known these feelings. . .

excellent writing. . . hopefully, your longing will come to an end. . .
