He would hate this.
....I cry out...
Erase this--he
would silence shout.

My father had more dignity--
more than he bequeathed to me.

I wish I had one wisdom sage
in tranquility of age
I wish that I could write his voice
in gravel, Texas stones of moist.

I wish that I could let you know
how his garden green did grow
and all his silences within
gave birth to all the tales I spin.

I write in ink of tear tonight
I miss him so, I miss his Might---
I wish he would appear to me-
and tell me that death set him free.

Seems a rock of sages. Wise enough to know that lessons can be taught without sound. Great tribute.

I had a hunch, and I had a hope, that when I opened this, I would find your father speaking through you...

give it a little more time, and his sage will become your wisdom...

warm hugs...

=========================

now you turn his silence into wisdom's rhyme
and your gifted poetry becomes his voice...
I KNOW that sets him free...
let your poetry  do the same for you baby..
this is a beautiful bittersweet tribute K
love ya me twin

I know no one is to blame
In time youll feel strength when you call my name
I know Ill never hold you again
And I know Ill never be the same

For the rest of my life, there will not be a day that passes without me missing my dad--if yours is still here with you, go love on him--NOW.

Not trying to be sad, but don't let an opportunity to love your loves go by....

Thank you all...now go love on somebody.
