A Woman of Ambition

Oh yes...
she was everything I wanted
and had all the things I need.
It seemed as if I'd died
and heaven had come to me.

And yes...
for awhile we shared
the same dream named forever.
We imagined a happy future
of two lovers spending
an eternity together.

Of course...
it all seemed so real
...until...one day.....
she calmly took my dream away
as she spoke of her ambition
to be free of me.

Ouch! But was it a Wise decision? Sometimes our Ambition bites us in the rear. So sorry that happened.
Sincerely,
Regina

Ah James ... what a precious writing from the heart. Ambitions indeed, come in various forms, and sometimes in directions that blind side us out of the blue.  This is a beautiful write, much enjoyed.

Best wishes,
/Kit

James

Ambition got in your way, but maybe you would have grown apart as the time passed.  Big hugs to you and your broken heart.

Thank you Sunshine, Regina, Kit, Ariana, janet, walker  and Noah for the nice responses...don't ever get in the way of a woman of ambition...I admire her...her position and accomplishments...I just thought that we could be closer than she thought....she likes her freedom...we have a nice friendship...it was me that had to make the proper adjustments so we could be friends...James
