Between the Lines

Missing You

I listen to my silent thoughts
as whirling fans breeze air.
I think of all the needs to meet
while sorting through with care.
I wish upon a stone I hold
that warms in hand, you-thoughts.
I dream my sleep, tonight in deep
in swirls of rhymes, mind-caught.

Tomorrow and each day to come
I'll read you in my heart.
When sunrise shows, no one arrives.
I'll feel the never-part.
And as the distance closes time
I'll wait, perhaps, to see
words and lines and in-betweens
that pattern you to me.

~Wynter
