The Shores of Alone

Twas once a Knight of passions deeds
who rode into her heart with force
he knew the things that she did need
and with his sword, he changed her course.

No longer was she satisfied
with absent love and yearnings deep
he led her to the edge of lies
denial, nothing left to keep.

He touched her heart and then her soul
he made her his true princess bride
but since he left, she's grown so cold
with no recourse, she only cries.

Yes such a Knight does true exist
But cruelly he withdrew his kiss.

Sandra,
How aptly and wonderfully written. It seems all the "Knights" that you and I know, have one too many chinks in their armor

I guess we all must have been his princess! Hey! That dirty @@#$%. He said I was the only woman in the world for him. Yeah right, he even stole my poetry and dedicated it to his other. AND signed it "Kiss me in your dreams, as I'll always kiss you in mine" The same as he signed all my cards and letters for 10 years! (So cruelly he withdrew his kiss), and placed it on his own tin butt good-bye.

Wow! Somehow we really connect!
I just had to spill that out, for the ending of your poem, was the end of us!
Amazing!
Sincerely,
Regina

ah yes. . . but there is no Knight does not have a few chinks of his own. . . but there are those who can try to repair those chinks. . . and make them stronger. . .

well done my friend. . .
