Dark side of the Moon.

"Wind"

Something in the dark spoke my name,
softly to my ears clearly came;
whispers in the night,
soft as candle light,
doubtless they were there... all the same.

Something in my heart felt the pain,
stirring memories there once again;
gentle fingers touch,
feather light and such,
soothing, glowing fires... clensing rain.

Something in my mind drew me near,
to a calmer time without fear;
hidden in the past,
things that could not last,
haunting, taunting sounds... in my ear.

Something in the wind called to me,
subtle sounding voice though it be;
musical refreain,
each note clearly plain,
penetrates my soul... sets me free.

What a wonderful first post!  I can't think of anything new to add...I agree that the flow and rhyme were creatively applied.
Welcome!!!  Write and share away    we can't wait to read it.

Thanks Marge for dredging the archives. This was always... and always will be one of my most precious renderings. Hoping others will give it a look, now that you so thoughtfully brought it back to the fore. Thank you again for the welcome... feels nice, warm and huggly.
