~Diary Of An Abandoned Muse~

my poet, she has gone away
they say she's coming back today
can't wait until that moment when
she graces paper with her pen

I cannot be without her long
I sing the tune...she writes the song
together we're the perfect team
when we're apart, I muted scream

not a word escapes my lips
without her pen at fingertips
she is my voice cried out in ink
my sanity...my missing link

voiceless, I impatient wait
alone...my thoughts an empty slate
so, if you should my poet see
please pass along my silent plea

heed the call of written word
dear poet, let my voice be heard
I'll sing the song, you write the tune
together we can hang the moon

Vicky..

She's hanging out in the go-beyond with mine...if I see her I'll tell her you are writing darn good without her.

Great work, the picture fits well and I don't see where you have even lost a step on your own.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Nicely done, vicky...interesting looking at it from the perspective of our so-called 'lost' muse...I really enjoyed this...

VERY CLEVER writing here....
I love the twist here...
we always talk of our missing muses...but
never think our muse needs us...
(not my moody muse)
very cool write Vicky

Very clever this one was, and perhaps yours took the same vacation plan as mine?  I am getting of waiting for a response to my call as well.  If she doesn't show up soon I am getting a new one!  Great poem and a wonderful twist to it Vicky.

Nobody ever seems to think about how
   the lonely muse must feel..LOL
   Glad you enjoyed.

Janet Marie-
Think maybe my muse was trying to tell
me something with this one? LOL
