The Truth Sought

I seek no further than my empty hands
At the end of which I depend
Holding the faint and the weak
Comforting the sad and the broken

The truth is on the tip of these hands
Stretched out for days on end
Pleading heart bleeding alone
Wanting warmth from not far away

These hands carried the light of hope
Nursing the fallen dove of peace
Wrapped in a nest of olive branches
To be freed towards the new sunrise
High above the oceans of love
Into the hands of angels in heaven

The truth sought is knowing
That the hands need not wipe tears
That two soft hands reach out
Ceasing past memories, allowing smiles
Releasing the heart broken butterflies
Onto the path of the newest rainbow

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

Daniel,
I especially liked this--

"Releasing the heart broken butterflies
Onto the path of the newest rainbow"

sweet image.
