TEMPUS
--

mists of time envelope me
obscure the mountains of my memory
if I read the book that tells my history
will I recognize my past?

I am not eager to recall
I loved the climb, but dread the fall
if I endure to see it all
will I be free at last?

Love these lines
One will never know for sure
Without looking back there's no future I think

this is delightful poetry
loved the clever rhyme scheme and its harmonies...
succinct in verbiage and verse...
yet depth of thought and imagery was achieved
well done poetess

Titia-glad you enjoyed this. It was one of those that wrote itself.

Mark-thanks mark,so happy this pill was easy to swallow--smile.

jm-thanks, sometimes it all just falls into place. Happy it worked this time.

Nan-thanks for your kind words---I really needed them today!
