Mommy, Mommy
I hear the faint cry
Of a little girl
Crying
I call out to her
Where are you sweetheart
I will come to you
But I don’t know where you are
Talk to me
So I can tell
I promise to help you
But I need your help
She spoke not a word
But I heard her whimpers
As I listened closely
And got closer to her
I didn’t want to scare her
So I held out my hand
As she lifted her head
And reached out her tiny little hand
I pulled her close
And held her tight
I gently pushed back
Her tangled hair
And wiped away
The tears
I kissed her dirty little face
Sweetheart, talk to me
What is your name?
She whimpered and whispered in my ear
My name is Angel
What a beautiful name
For a precious little girl
Do you know where you live?
Yes, I live in heaven
But Jesus sent me here
To get you
My heart went in my throat
But I am not your mommy
But mommy don’t you recognize me
When we wrecked the car
When I was three
I went through the window
And landed next to this tree
You were in a comma for six weeks
And lost all your memory
The tears came rolling down
As I dropped to the ground
And got down on bended knee
Thank you Dear Jesus
For giving back to me
My memory
I am ready to come home
She took my hand
And I saw a bright light
As we descended
Into the sky
