~* A Walk With The Ancients *~

As I gather my thoughts of this blessed Sunday,
And head uphill to my destination of solitude,
In the distance I see the clearing, my place.
The river flows with cleansing and serenity.
This place is where peace permeates my heart.

It is here, stronger than any other place,
I connect to children of the sun,
The keepers of the eternal flame.
In this majestic setting just before dusk,
Silver and gold flames burn off and call us.

I am continually seeking answers,
Where there are no questions.
In possession of a deerskin bag of stones,
To what purpose, am I to serve you?
Once again I seek answers by this stream.

Oh, Ancient Ones, as I walked up this path,
In nature I saw all your spectacular wonders.
Every day I hear the whisper of your spirit,
As you reassure me, surround me, fill me,
And the winds of change embrace my open heart.

The moon soon shimmers across the night,
As a tiara of stars whisper of the mysteries.
The sun set that blazed a trail from dawn to dusk.
Its silver and gold flames of fires raged,
And burned within us all, calling us together.

The glory of this spectacular life abounds,
In the never ending circle and the spiral,
Spinning a web like a widow spider,
Taking flight upon a zephyr;
And my spirit knows that I am not alone.

My tears of thanks drop but not unanswered.
An open heart fills with secrets from ages past,
And knowledge as never before known;
And with renewed confidence,
I now will take the next step.

Beautiful, there is so much wisdom in what you write.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Just so very lovely!  This piece has captured the beauty, strength and peace of the natural world and our place in it. Thank you for allowing me to see it through your vision.  Perfect choice of music as well.

THank you for this lovely piece. How many times do we walk and wonder who has walked this path before us and saw what their eyes beheld.
Very intriguing and beautiful in thought and in verse

Now this is one for the wall.  The outpouring of understanding in this is as vivid as is the heart and desire of the poet that wrote it and that says alot to me about you.  You gotta already know that I love this piece and I am printing it out to enjoy over and over and also for inspiration.  Wonderfully penned I love the format as well as the spirituality in it.
