Hurry Evening

In the day is searing heat
the fountain of serene is beat
the sky has sifted out the blue
left only pale hint of true

A summer sunflower’s falling now
its stately stalk broken somehow
the bees forage in the grass
for hint of moistened sprinkler’s pass

Just now I felt a hint of breeze
I see the waving of the trees
the evening moves across my thoughts
when we will swim in moonlight’s toss

The flowers then in dusk turned hue
will feel the blessed evening’s cool
drops of jewels will light my arms
as we embrace in darkening charm

Hurry evening hurry fast
my love is coming home at last

Martie~
I wish you shelter from the heat of day
into heated passion of the night !

Just as I remember it Martie...your writing I mean. Been sporadic in here for quite a while and don't remember hitting any of yours (so many new and wonderful people on here can't keep up when I do get back...home)

But...just as I remember it...just as beautiful and truthful as ever...I love seeing through your eyes...

Ah, is there anything that I love better than reading "love" through your words and visions, so tastefully and delicately done, no, there isn't!  I simply adored this Martie, and psst...have fun too!
