Desire Falls
By: Noah Eaton
8/4/01

Riding freely through a bird-hatching and lilac-scented meadow on a white pony
Me and my girlfriend stride pleasantly down to the rainbow waters of Desire Falls
Laughing together like school children again, comfortable friends to each other
Stopping the horse, hopping off, and helping my girl off of hers, holding her soft silky hand

My girl smiles widely and cheers with pleasure, gazing upon a gentle waterfall wishing well
Water falling like shooting stars, scattering colors as each gush hits the glass lake
Whispers of lovers hearts filling the forget-me-not aroma wind
Helping her down beside the waterfall, we sit together on a boulder side-by-side

We look into each others eyes, both blushing like strawberries and cream on a hazy July picnic
Telling her how I love her so and always see heaven in her eyes, holding her hand under mine
Her face tears up with joy, and she hugs me, crying over my shoulder, feeling my heart flutter for her
Telling me how she loves me so much, and dreams of being with me forever

I reach out to touch her cheek gently in tears, brushing my fingers to feel the flesh of the one I truly love
She gently lays her hand on my chest, watching the young fawns sip the sweet water and hummingbirds flirt the wild roses
And I begin to whistle a harmonic tune I cherished as a child from one of my favorite fairy tales
Feeling any moment now I will hold someone special dear, to change my life forever

My girl watches as a swarm of songbirds slide down from the trees, dangling a silver lace by their beaks
I look at her to see the gorgeous smile shine across her face, feeling her heart beat faster
Swallows gently drop the lace into her lap, tittering with loves song
And she picks it up to find a ring attached to it, shining as bright as the love I see in her eyes

She turns to stare at me, tears falling anxiously for me to answer all her hearts desires
And I do, holding her hand and confidently speaking words of eternal meaning
Speaking through her tears, she excitedly proclaims “Yes!”, hugging me close repeating her happy answer
And right beneath the waterfall, her lips touch mine, a kiss of the cupids arrow to bond my heart with hers

I wrap against the girl I love, splendor in the grass
Her lips dangling right above mine, beginning to sing her favorite love song to me
Slowly harmonizing a Celine Dion ballad as she softly strokes my neck and face with her fingers
Songbirds joining her voice, trilling with excitement as she sings the last word, drowning her lips into mine

My heart, weakened in the whimsical rapture of her voice, uses the last of it’s energy to carry her in my arms
Kissing her candy lips, helping her up on our dreamtime express
Riding off, together as archetypes of Romeo And Juliet
And the whispers of our love echo all across the crystal cascades of Desire Falls…

Do you know what a responsibility it is
to holds someones heart in your hands?
Don't brake it....
Beautifull write ...

Every little girls dream....

And they lived happily ever after...
