Forever’s Mist

The names in truth do not matter
Eve, Delilah, Jezebel, I
Offer three, with mine the latter
With no excuse for in its spell

One gave the world its paradox
Jezebel, tolls the rope of hell
Delilah sheered a mind its locks.
I ask is this a place to dwell?

We are born to a commitment
There is no life without this deed
And also bound by laws cement.
A wed of kind for natures seed.

And though we flit flower to flower
Collecting nectar for our hive
We never quite gain its power
Or understand why we’re alive.

I question brimstone and atone
I question unknown and alone?

Great minds question everything...
but there is NO questioning what a gifted poetic mind you have...
this proves my point for me...
I've run out of adjectives to describe your work...
so I'll simply sit here and inhale every word, seek the wisdom of every rhyme, and shake my head in awe.
OH and then throw ya couple *winkiewinkies* *L*

Sy, like you
I question too,
and sometimes find
a common mind,
like word or two
of poet you.

Beautifully written Seymour. This brings wonderful ponderings to mind ... you are not alone in the questioning. I so enjoy the flow and style of your work, very much enjoyed this piece.

Best wishes,
/Kit

The answers to those questions are as unique as the questioners... for alone and lonely need not be synonymous... Nicely done, my guy Sy...

Keep the questions coming, and we will keep opening the book of knowledge...

Well done Sy!

AAAAhhhh, a person with the courage to ask the hard question---and face the answer his heart gives! Admirable and well-voiced.

In the face of my idealism and optimism, it unforunately seems that in today's world, the "doctrine of indoctrination" which is marriage is nothing more than a piece of paper with materialistic benefits and a short path to the inevitable complimentary piece of paper which negates all that the first predicated...  Jaded?  Better believe it.  What matters to me is the core construct of the other person -- not the expectations, judgements, and mandates of a shallow society.  Strong write, by the way... ;->

This certainly made me think. I just don't know how to respond to it!
