Destiny's Dance

Tangerine-lustre sun blends into twilight's trill
as Venus paints the land with her vibrant spill
crystal shadows cascade...time touches infinity
souls unite on angel wings...mingling with destiny
with lush of hazel stars faith shines as a precious jewel
ablaze over senses whils't we bathe in heaven's pool
the dance of romance intoxicates in ecstasy of embrace
we sip from glory's goblet through clouds of vanilla lace
relishing in amourous affair on words of uplifting cliche
logic never questions why immersed in reverie's say
we've opened the box of Pandora, stirring poetic pallette
across pebbled sands of kismet - the verse of heart is set

Kisses of flit and flirt awake as butterflies ever high -
flutterings of our passion across diamond glint of sky
reflections glow of how I look in dewdrops of your eyes
I grace peace at last, pirouetting in seductive surprise
racing strokes of rhapsody in the fold of cosmic flight
in realms of fantasy in Cupid's cathedral of candlelight
entwining on alabaster mist across Nirvana's lullaby
reaching climax of Utopia in masterpiece of lovestruck sigh
you reach the depths of my being on whirlwinds of eternity
in unison with heaven's heartbeat - fate's luscious melody
robins serenade imagination, robed in feathers of scarlet chiffon
we ride copper ruffles of whistling leaves flowing into dawn
in the valley of ballroom bliss our journey has just begun
through waltz of cherished vows...together we are one

It's a wonderful poem to mark for this ocassion. . . just as you are a wonderful person. . . and a good friend. . .

Congratulations!!!

Beautifully woven, wonderful flow, a great 3000th!

there's only one tiny mechanical thing that slowed my read:

Kisses of flit and flirt awake as butterflies ever high -                           flutterings of our passion across diamond glint of sky

I think, in my noviceness of form, that it would flow better with these line breaks:

Kisses of flit and flirt awake as butterflies
ever high-flutterings of our passion across diamond glint of sky

I think your rhyme will still be felt and heard, but stopping the line in the middle of high-flutterings slowed the flow.  This really stood out to me as the remainder of the poem is so impeccably done.

Nevertheless, whatever you think, or what someone who is more conscious of form thinks, it's a beautiful 3000th post, Melissa!!!
