At the edge and a doorway,TX

This is for all the mothers in the world in their time of need and hope that they find love, happiness, and understanding from some of my words.  Be brave, be strong, be true for noone can love, but you.

They all call her mother
She holds truth like a prophet
Yet she hides away from the things she loves the most
Her son is not her own and she sems to carry on somehow
The pain that lives in her heart  is the burden that only she can carry
So use to just dealing with situations that arise
She pulls her tears back for another night
This was all her fault--only she can take the guilt and shame for all she has done
Living in disbelief of a life that she has made
No apologies to be given
Nothing to be taken back
All these choices made without words stucks home in her tearful heart
(Singing) Rock-a-bye baby
It plays in her head like the beat from loud techno music
She lies awake at night to afraid to fall asleep
Where were these people, who condon her behavior, when she needed them the most
Noone, but her dedicated enough to use action more than words
Her life so incomplete without the shining, innocent face of happiness
Longing to her the word mama roll from little mouth to touch her soul
She finally realizes why she runs scared screaming
Nothing could ever take the place of someone so dear
there is noone who could possible understand why her eyes turn so red against the clear sky
Hatred there building blocks of steel holding up her heart as she searches for one little sign of help
Nine months of fustration to have her miracle born only to give it all away
She wishes to run screaming against this time only louder and harder than before
Oh mama, don't you understand that you are the key
She sings to drown the evil thoughts that run through her head
When all suddenly gets silent which is worse than before
She cleans a place for herself to sit at the table and blow her thoughts away
She longs for the patience and understanding that she can't find elsewhere
(Singing) Rock-a-bye baby
On the tree top
When the wind blows
All the voices in her head weep in unison
One tear falls from her eyes to the ground as if slow motion set in all over the world
They call her mother, but how can you be a mother without your only child?

Love,
Ladycat

Live in my world just once and you'll find yourself enraptured.
