  Feather

The leaf is a treasure if you look
with eyes of nymph.

The jagged pattern of chewing clue
and the feathered quill of white
lay delicate
as the slightest breeze removes wisps
like seeds from a flower.

And when they all fly,
what will be left?
Their fragile dress gone,
the truth of this allusive beauty
might be a worm,
perhaps.

It is an albino caterpillar I think,
a warp that time threw into nature,
without papers
and no name except a sigh.

trust you Martie, to find an amazing creature like this one and then somehow manage to capture it perfectly in verse. I'm impressed as usual.

Matie,
There is nothing that you describe that does not ooze into the very core of aestheteic beauty
