Clinging to my door
Cat-eye splotches on soft green
Fragile loveliness.

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Thank you both very much.   I like to read a lot more than I like to write - but being blessed with a visit from a Luna seemed to require more than my ooohhhing and aaahhhing.

What a wonderful poetic response, Nan! I love monarchs, too.

Camera captures
Burnished bronze and golden glow
Migration-tired wings.

Smitten Kitten, Interloper and Cpat Hair - Thank you very much for your kind welcome and complimentary responses.

Janet Marie, I can't thank you enough - but I do appreciate your initial "unofficial" welcome, your comments on this poem, and your revisit.

And many thanks to you, also, Krawdad.

Well, where there is one Haiku, (and a very nice one at that) there is bound to be endless poems.  Wonderful to see you finally posted one for US to reply to and I hope this is starting a new trend for you.  I am sorry I am late but HEY.....I did make it here.

Not late at all, Mark - not with such kind comments.   I'm very glad you liked this, but I fear my poem posting will be rare - the repository is quite small.   Thank you.

I like your name, paladin - and your poem.   Thank you very much. Sometimes we have to color outside the lines - we can't allow someone else to define us.
