The sea it fought with moon and tide, the wind of storm and rain
It fought each shore forevermore for much and little gain
It lapped the land with endless touch from each day till the night
It gave us grace through calming seas, respect through show of might

Today my heart it too does fight, but tears and storms of love
The promises and words of hurt, the push a rounds and shove
The memories of tender touch, which grew from time of wonder
The hole in which I’m buried deep, from where I lie down under

But then I watched the beauty and the grace of something small
There fluttering and hovering among its friends and all
A little key of life and strength, which opened heart to long
A butterfly, my happiness, came back to sing its song

You have written beautifully of how something so small can turn the stormy seas to tranquil waters. Small gestures can be new beginnings in a bad day. Like a smile
Thank you for making me do just that.
Sincerely,
Regina
