Poetry....

So many ways of saying
What comes from the heart
The one I like is called Quatrain
That surely does impart

The Couplet form of writing
Surely proves to be exciting
This character of poetry
Can be a blessing to you and me

Then there's another
It surely has it's own league
It's called the Haiku

Cinquain
Five lines
Tells a story
Of love or Hate
Cinquain

The Clerihew was rather a hoot
A jolly fun and really quite cute!
An amusing task
But really, don't ask!

But then there is the Limerick
This one has been a crazy trick
Not one I'll soon forget
But one I don't regret
This surely has been quite a kick!

Don't forget Tanka
It is so interesting
How this comes about
So different in it's own way
Rhyming we don't have to do

The many forms of poetry
They all can be sublime
Whether happy or sad or even frivolous
They don't ALL have to rhyme

I have too much time on my hands I guess!!! hee hee!

Cindi-
Hmmmmm...and just when did those children
of yours grant you that much time to play?! LOL
That was awfully sweet of them...now go
give them hugs kisses from me.
   Nice job on this.

   hugs,
