A Bow

What a brilliantly structured, compassionate mind
That boldly proclaims his mercurial finds

With an insight so sharp, so acutely outwitting
And the confidence parlayed by simply admitting
That he doesn’t know all the quantum mechanics
Laws that do govern his small, poignant antics

His presence, when free from the usual delusion
Gives rise to this awkward yet pleasant confusion
That he would abhor, just like too much rhyme
Which is why,
This poem will end
In

A bow to the brilliance of youthful dedication.

I have a feeling that you won't be so elusive if you keep writing like this!  Welcome to Passions!

Thanks, everyone, for your kind words.  Unusual as it may be, the poem fairly adequately describes a friend who is equally quirky.

Thank you for giving poets of all walks of life a supportive outlet for their writings.

So much fun to read, truly...right up until "in" at the end...then, because of the space I was trying to decide if the bottom line was indeed part of the poem or your 'signature'

Others have taken it as a part of your poem and I should like to as well...the other way, I feel like the pianist hasn't played the final note, the note of resolution...aaaaagh!

But with the final line...there is resolve and dedication to youthful brilliance.

Hey!  Welcome to PIP!!!!!

Yes, the last line is most definitely part of the poem, and a sign of respect and appreciation for what this person represents.

Thanks for the input, and for the warm welcome.
