Listening to every heart

Eventide

thus the hours speak, as gently
rests sun in decline
on this fraction of
green and blue
only to rise, elsewhere

ne’er tiring, ne’er
shy, but bold in gold
strengthened, it hies

yet again

leaving us in eventide
grip of day liberated
respite allowed in calming
grace, solitude aligning
face of shadows

in chirping song of
evening’s call, touch,
reach for stars to fall,

yet again

then grasp and hold,
to dream upon, a
wish, a hope, a star in
hand, then fling it back
to ne’er land

as in circling,
ever rounding sun, to
eventide, to sun

yet again

Now those are what I call GREAT lines!  I wish I had written them.  Such a pretty poem, Karilea.  Thanks!

Sunshine-
   Oh...I like this lots!

      "in chirping song of
      evening’s call, touch,
      reach for stars to fall,

      yet again

      then grasp and hold,
      to dream upon, a
wish, a hope, a star in
      hand, then fling it back
      to ne’er land

      as in circling,
      ever rounding sun, to
      eventide, to sun"

   Absolutely beautiful.
