Erase you I know the love we had Has passed us by long ago I know I love someone else His love is so giving. But sometimes I just can’t help Thinking about you. Thinking about what we had Thinking about how I felt And then I miss you. I miss the way you laughed I miss the way you cried I miss the openness we had. And I want to call you I want to hear you voice I want to hear that you are ok I want to hear the love I miss Why do I do this? Why do I submit myself to hurt? Why do I still need you? Why can’t I erase you? I have moved on. I have given my heart to another. I have opened my soul. And I have given it willingly. So why do I torture myself Why must I pry into you? Why do I care? Why do the tears still fall When I think of your name. Why can’t break the ties. Why can’t I just… stop. TaraB |

Oh Tara, I feel your haunt in this, and sadly, do relate. Letting go is never easy, some suceed, others don't and the painful questions and burning last a lifetime (even if you have the love of another)~ ((hugs)) Melissa~ |

Oh how well I know these feelings.....just when we think we have our hearts all nicely organized and into a new groove.....the old love pops right back in, and the old aching starts, and the old doubts. Yes, why isn't there some way we can just erase it all? You are a marvelous writer.....much enjoyed your work here!  The road goes on forever, and the stories never end... |

Melissa - Thank you for stopping in.. I'm glad to see your name. I pray I can let go.. I have to. ~hugs~ Sunnyone - That is about what happened... literally, him popping back up. I logged to an old pager on line and some olddddd messages from him that popped up.  It's amazing the feelings that come rushing back..not neccessarily of wanting him back exactly.. just VERY vivid memories. Thank you for the compliment. Marvelous?  I don't know about that...lol. Sven - If you ever do find that eraser.. please let me know. Life would oh so much easy without the past ties. Thanks for stopping in Mark - I often wonder if he thinks about me. I have decided however not to think about it. It will drive me crazy..heh. Thank you for reading SEA - Ain't that the truth ~chuckles~ I have let go of the relationship.. and moved on... now if someone can tell my heart to do the same and not be bothered ~sighs~ I'm glad you stopped by.. thank you. Bill - I think everyone wonders... no matter how much more easy it is not to. Thank you for stopping in.. I'm happy my poem could make a connection with you. |
