I used to know what words to write I could write the words of the heart like no one else could words that would soften the hardest heart and brighten the darkest spirit words that would make you smile words that would make you cry words that would make you wonder why but, that was when you were here now, I just let the pen flow across the page and the words come out, but they’re not like they used to be there are no promises of love and light there are only wishes of a love that may never be a love that was once long ago these are the words of me words that I really don’t want these are the words of me words that I don’t want to start these are the words of me the words of a broken heart I used to know what words to say I could sing the songs of love forever like you had never heard songs that would fill the soul of life and empty the depths of fear songs that would make you laugh songs that would make you feel songs that would make your love real but then, that was when it was now, I just let the words fall where they may and the music comes out but it’s not like it used to be my love there are no harmonies of passion and promise there are only the dreams of a heart that still believes still believes that love still knows these are the words of me words that I really don’t want these are the words of me words that I don’t want to start these are the words of me the words of a broken heart ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Your pen still has the ability to make me wonder why and to cry. This is so sad, for one who is filled with love and not to have the one he wants to share it with. Hopefully someday..................... |

Your words elicit all of the above and we hang on each and every one you pen. Your heart will mend and if your work gets any better I'm gonna quit writin' in pure shame of my poor ability as compared to the Great Voice of the North. Write on my friend and I, for one, will read every word (even if they are loooong). |

Elise, you know that I won't my friend. . . but sometimes, the pain is just a little much. . .thank you. . . into2B, I know that that someday is coming. . . for all of us. . . thank you so much. . . Voiceless, yes, like I said before, it goes on whether I want it to or not. . . thank you. . . Melissa, thank you my wonderful friend. . . it's nice to know that I have friends who will listen. . . Ever heard that song, "Time Will Mend A Broken Heart"? It is true! However, so does writing, and this was fantastic! Keep writing, and we will be reading, and time will heal the heart. Kudos, on a great poem. ~ To see real beauty you must look with your heart ~ |

Happens to everyone - The best thing to do when it does is to put all those words in a big ole basket - shake 'em all up - toss 'em up - and see if they fall in a different order - it can be just amazing what comes out... You speak your frustrations well, m'friend...  |
