There’s somewhere,
Many places actually come to mind;

An elsewhere,
That only very few could ever find;

Find me a log cabin in Kinkade light,
The edge of a forest, edge of a meadow,
Bees wax candles flicker into the night,
Hearth alive with flames of red and yellow.

Let time unwind to the autumnal days,
Trees fade from green in many colors seen,
Wind rushes in and hurries leaves away
Snowflakes drift to take places where they’d been.

Some elsewhere
One of many places that come to mind.

Gloom

Thank you, 1 slick Lady,
To be heaven it would need someone to share it with,
I’m glad you liked it.

Thank you, Cpat Hair,
I am glad you are also fond of escaping,
It can be the only refuge from the insanity of reality.

I love Thomas Kinkade's paintings. I visit a small art gallery in our local mall with nothing but his paintings. It gives me a short escape from reality, and I can dream of being in those settings. Thank you for reminding me it's time to go back and get refreshed.

Gloom,
    A beautiful utopia you have created. There are more times than I can count when I'd like to be "elsewhere".  Thanks for painting such an imaginative portrait.

I love Kinkade - and your poem makes me feel I've stepped into one of his paintings. This is beautiful.
