No one planted
The seed…
Not you…
Not me…

Blown into the
Garden of our love
By winds of change
Fed by separate ways

Silence…
Creeping like a
Slow  growing vine
Entangles our lives,
Strangling care,
Shading out
New growth.

Silence…
Turning passion’s flowers
Into a neglected patch
Of weeds
We both
failed to
tend

Wow, this is so profoundly sorrowful, you use an excellet metaphor to show the wilting of love.  I'm impressed with this, and do hope that it does not echo your life

CPatHair~
I am very moved by this piece.
Seeds of silence don't propagate productively.
Very, very poignantly portrayed.

Cpat--The garden is a perfect example of how both love and flower need constant care.  Really enjoyed your poem!

Excellent write Cpat weeds are a menace to any garden.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

This is one of my favorites from you.  Awesome metaphors, Ron, and as always, very visual and mentally stimulating.  Great work.

fantastic analogy of what happens when members of a relationship don't stay alert

this is so vivid and powerful

and such a definite picture of how my actual garden grows that I can so relate to it and the 'garden' I used to have
