Shaved head, stubble run amok
Armband tattooed on a skinny arm
Eyelid pierced with a silver hoop
Cocky with what he thinks is experience
He looks at me with a sneer

I look in the mirror at receding hair
Lone tattoo from a mid-life crisis
My eyelids droop from work...family...stress
Wishing I was younger...or older
Anywhere but here

An old gray head, no hair save a halo
Faded old tattoos from ages ago
Eyes not what they use to be
Contempt is on his face aimed at me
Because HIS end is drawing near

Love one another-let God do the worrying,
Rodney

now this is imaginative, and thought provoking...

Thanks IR...just my thoughts as I look at younger and older men I work with...we men are always competitive and combative thanks to nature...Rod
