My heart takes on a warm glow
as I fondly remember some of the times
we've spent together
consumed by our love and passion

I remember the night we walked
hand in hand at dusk
and kissed on the brige overlooking the Seine
and how you put your arm lovingly around me
as we walked towards our favourite restaurant
enticed by the exquisite aromas
coming from the gourmet kitchen

We drank champagne, you laughed at my silly jokes
and we gazed at one another
over the seductive glow of the candlelight
as our love was heralded by a serenade
You told me how much you loved me
as you took my hand in yours
Your ensuing kiss brought my senses alive
and my skin tingled as your lips encased mine

How brightly the stars shone that night
as we walked the cobbled streets
towards our hotel nearby the Eiffel Tower
This city of lovers had enveloped us as we
became swept up in the romance of this
beautiful city

So much beautiful love we made that night
and many nights after that
I love you as much now as I did then
Our love is so timeless and precious
A love I could only once dream about
but now it is mine to preserve

I see our love as being like a fine gem
The more you polish it, the more it shines
You are the light of my life
my lover, my friend
my precious jewel

To have a love like this would be wonderful, Suetang. You express it so well.

Thank you all for your kindness.  I am very fortunate to have been to Paris twice now and it is truly one of the most romantic cities in the world.  I'm glad you all enjoyed the journey with me.  Take care...Sue
