Too overworked – no time to play,
Till summer finally came.
Miss GypsiNess was on her way ~
Where none would know her name…

Packed up her tent-ominium
To rough it for awhile,
Commune with nature – have some fun
To write a bit and smile.

She drove for days then finally
Espied the great Delphi.
Before her stood sole cherry tree
Midst plush gladioli.

This haven sheerly magical.
‘Twas cleansed by Nature’s stream.
There she’d consult the Oracle,
Meet quietude her dream.

She nestled in along with PiP
‘Neath constellations huge;
And hoped that Ursa wouldn’t tip,
For Delphi’d be deluged.

Now Gypsi’s view of wilderness
Was not what most would think.
Her tent-ominium had the best,
Just lacking kitchen sink.

Electric blanket on her cot,
A cell phone by her side,
Without convenience she was naught;
Sheer comfort was her pride.

With coffee maker for the morn,
And laptop for the day;
She found her peace midst fields of corn,
Where wild creatures play.

Chipmunks and cottontails abound,
Cavorting stalks of husk.
Grasshoppers flitting all around,
And fireflies at dusk.

Au-natural was this lively fest;
Grand monarchs fluttered by.
Pa-Raiding round her dinner guests,
A wasp and dragonfly.

When she arose, into her lair
Fly in her coffee flew.
No doubt he wanted just to share
Her early morning brew.

Delightful scene painted in moving picture words! Glad you had such a lovely visit, excepting the buzzing igit.
I want to find #1, too.

MissGypsiNess~

Out among the stalking corn
Gypsi dances in summer silk
Ewwww ! A fly in your coffee
Is worse than adding milk ! !

Dance, Gypsi, Dance !
Just do it a little faster
For Grandma said that coffee-flies
Can create a real disaster ! !

*Glad you're having such an adventure~
Thanks for the poetic smoke signals~

Are your in-tent-ions honorable?
Wait! That's not what I meant...
I mean, now that you are traveling,
What's your true in-tent?

Con-tent-edness must be your goal
At least that's what I see.
I wish you luck but, in my mind,
It's two-in-tents for me!
