I have solved the riddle
The answer to the equation
No more "Monkey in the Middle"
Much to my elation

Caught inside uncertainty
I have sought the Truth
Lost within perplexity
I discovered the Uncouth

Now I find myself so freed
Able to move on
I have a friend in need
And must sing him a song

I must go try to soothe him
Out of his despair
Help thwart the darkness grown within
If he needs me, I'll be there

A pile of words and promises broken
Only one promise remains true
The only pledge by me first spoken:
When I pledged my love to you.
