Shall we meet at the river?
at days end
as the sun dissolves
and bleeds tangerine
into the water……..

Let’s catch up on the old times
we’ve never shared
let’s remember
all the pieces of our lives
separately………..
then combine them
making your memories mine……
allowing  mine to become yours

Take my hand
walk with me
follow the path
that leads to friendship
at the river……

What a wonderful river indeed.  Look who has become the proud owner of the eyes she always had.  You know, the ones that see what others so easily miss.  Very nice read indeed.

Susan~

Can I be bold enough to say that this is one of your best?!      Wow, the imagery and use of metaphors to describe the roads of friendship is great.

"at days end
as the sun dissolves
and bleeds tangerine
into the water"

what awesome-imagery packed lines!  If you keep this up, I'm sure to be awed by future poems by you.

I am impressed, into my library this goes~

That's an especially nice way to make friends near the tangerine river. Very much enjoyed, SEA.

I had to come in because this had the same title as one of my poems written in 2000 or 1999. Totally different subject, though. Well yes it was about being at the river and it was about a friendship, but it was more than that, too. I actually think it's posted in Spiritual Journeys.

Enjoyed the read!
