This was written long ago about a neighbor of ours. Her name was Terry and she wore thongs, not only in the summer, but all winter! That's hard to do here in WV. for our winters are very bitter, but she managed LOL. I really don't have a problem with thongs, just the idea of it all is funny. Please read part two and three. DJ Ellis is my sister.

Thongs

I'd like to buy the world some thongs
As long as the souls on the bottom are strong
I'd like to teach the world to dress
Like Terry next door when she tries to impress

With her beautiful thongs all colored in blue
I don't think we'll see her in another shoe
"I live for thongs she declared
I match them up with my underwear"

No lie I say, I keep them clean
I even buy them in shades of green
By day break she wears her thongs of white
It starts her fashion show off right

By noon she wears her thongs of gray
It attracts the sun and the afternoon rays
By evening she's slicked in her thongs of red
Her thongs they match her nighty for bed

Oh, Terry Dear, will you let me know
How that little stick stays between your toes
Months from now when Christmas is here
Buy some thongs and spread the cheer

Take the stick and light a candle
There you have just a plain old sandle

OMG...I really thought we were talking underwear until the last part!! What a great poem...good job you two!

Cute, I picture her with blue toes in the winter! There is one in every neighbourhood isn't there, and you caught them well!
