Hello, Moon
Virginia Salter

Hello, Moon
Oh, white knight of evening
low, fully round
lending your light
to starry-eyed
children of earth,
would-be lovers

your glow enamors
entices
seduces them
into bending to your spell
your magic
woven about them
as web spun
to capture
their every whim

your deep set, tranquil eyes,
looking like vast seas,
and alluring smile
reel them in
to your wizardry
they fold before you
conceding defeat
to a summer evening’s
trance

Wow - Virgina, I love this, you have some great imagery in this, and you know that Marge will love it too!

thank you all, all three of you!

So happy you enjoyed this, the moon that evening, while I walked my evening walk, was truly beautiful, truly mesmerizing, I couldn't help but think of young lovers, I thought of one of my favorite songs from the King and I with Deborah Kerr and Yul Brynner, "Hello, Young Lovers" so I composed it mentally on my walk then typed it out when I got home.
