Dust In My Eyes
by Sy Tabin

Shadows cast upon the sea
Darkness slows the quick of me.
While doubt tears away the sail
I cannot wait much more the bale.

Those truths and phantoms that exist
All things that I cannot resist
Please pity me this aging shell
Make known to me the timeless spell.

Oh spirit that I feel and fear
That echoes chaos in my ear.
Pendulums my minds desire
Burns me in consuming fire.

Let me pure fraternity
Touch with loves eternity.
Just one moment's flight of peace
Just one moment of release

Forever lifts me on its wings
Yet still I see the dust of things.

Stars In My Eyes
by Janet Marie

Oh rhymes and verse that soothe my soul
Poetic harmonies sing to me in cadenced console.
Word woven wings upon which to fly
Carry me to a place where butterflies don't cry.

Wisdom and truth penned in strands of gold
The gates of Eden open in glorious unfold.
The stairway to Heaven is there for us to find
Just beyond gardens of kind, verdant with peace of mind.

Paint for me a vision's sign
An artist's dream of destiny's design.
Walk with me on your beaches of understand
Heart in hand upon time's endless sands.

We'll sail on azure seas of eternity
On a ship named Fate and Destiny.
Guided by a distant constant star
We'll sail beyond infinity's far.

Call me a dreamer with stars in my eyes
Still I believe just like poetry, love never dies.

**thank you me sweet Sy for once again inspiring me ...
and for allowing me the honor and pleasure of sharing this thread with you.

Then, call me a dreamer too     Wonderfully expressed Janet, he is quite the inspiration, isn't he?
The flow, rhyme and sentiment in this is beautiful, well done sweet poetess~

And, of course, Sy's poem is classically expressed too~

They say that good things come in pairs and these two poems prove just that.  The originating poem was masterful and the reply poem was just as masterful.  One would think that we were dealing with actual poets here.    I do believe that Sy has just what the "gator" moth needs to inspire her in the verbal arts but of course when you are dealing with a couple of poetic artists such as yourselves, we would expect nothing less.  Not only are the poems constructed eloquently but they hold the individual styles of the authors without interfering with the others.  In other words ... KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!
