To sail amidst the raging foam
To sit beside the mirrored lake
Casting prayers to heavens dome
Inhaling spite for no-ones sake

To verse upon the tree of oak
To see the joy in life’s small flower
To heed the warmth of nights dark cloak
To embrace the wealth of silences’ power

To paint the gold of autumns rush
To see in winter……. fresh new life
To weald it with a strong wide brush
To heap it bold …with palette knife

To cherish memories…. for their sake
To live with dreams of better things
From life and love the joy to take
To paint a snapshot……..daisy rings

All these things in ether stored
To stand forthright to sit on sand
To use it like a silvered sword
With pen and ink the poets hand

I enjoyed this very much. You have touched many happy places that a poet can write about.

First I have seen from you in quite some time. Worth the wait,,

Take a bow, Jon, this is so wonderfully laced with imagery, rhyme and sentiment, all poets are sure to feel it's power~
