The Steamy Desert

With a fevered touch that was like heaven to her
She clung on tightly and let the world blur
Passionate kisses that left her knees weak
So many kisses that words could not creep

His hands kept on roaming to places of desire
He lifted her up and she felt his hot fire
Leaning on the wall to keep her standing
And answering to his touch hot and demanding

Then suddenly he was gone in the blink of an eye
Though she still felt his heat on the skin of her thigh
A passion collided in the dark corner of night
She knew in an instant something was not right

Seeking him out in the crowded lobby bar
She witnessed a scene more intense by far
There in the midst of her awakened wet dream
Her lover not as perfect as he once did seem

A woman was there next to her quick date
And in an instant she learned how to hate
For this woman was dressed completely in white
And the man had become her husband tonight.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...

Perhaps it's worth the rush...or maybe we should fall slowly as Sven wrote.  Both have their rewards.  Well done!

This is a wise poem very well expressed with a great flow and rhyme-scheme.  I'm impressed~

Intense -- rather like straight driving at a 120mph... into the side of a building.
