Mountains and valleys
covered in gold
rememberance of life
days of old.

Splashes of colors
rise overhead
yellow and green
mixed with red.

Fresh crisp air
inviting to breathe
tempting to stay
not wanting to leave.

Creeks flowing
swiftly through
moss glistening
collecting dew.

Warm sun sky
painted with blues
colorful backdrop
of beautiful hues.

Breathe deep the air
dare to live~
natures offerings
a gift to give.

(ok, so I NEVER posted this just because
I thought it's not worthy, but since
Mark asked for more nature stuff....well..
here it is and I hope you enjoy!!)

OKAY..........out with 'em.......where are the rest of 'em?  How long you been holding out on us?  This was wonderful and I am truely honored that you posted it just because I asked.  Usually I have to do some major begging or favors.  Now, as I said, I am honored that you did post this because I asked but hey, must we ask?  You KNOW your works are very much worth posting so please, don't hold out on us.  I promise our eyes can take the glow radiating from your beautful muse.

Oh I am just lmao here tonight.  I am not holding out but there is lots of this nature stuff I
write and never post.....oh dear me, and I lost so much when my puter died on me last
year.  And if I would have know you usually have to beg I might have had to hold out
a bit longer.....lol.  oh and btw.....I don't believe in making promises one can't keep!!  But I do
thank you so much for this kind response Mr. Mark.  I appreciate these words now that my
muse has seemed to escape me. (well this is almost a year old, and I just never bothered to
post, thank you for the encouragement. *s*)

Melissa, I do thank you so much for that.
It seems I should take a trip more often.
This was written last year on a trip to Erie, during the middle of fall, and it was
so simply inspiring.  Thanks and hugs to you!

Now I see why you chose the name, Gentle Spirit. It suits you well, and shows in your work.
I love the vivid imagery, as well as the poem. I am sure Mark will love that you took the time to write this.
Well done!

Hugs,
Deb

Deb, thank you so much for that, I do appreciate it.  *l*  A friend
led me to a name such as that, and a loved one told me I was the gentlest person he knew.....so thus the name was born. If my work conveys what I feel, then I am blessed that my muse visited me that day, and that I can bring that to the reader.  Again, my thanks.  *s*

Never hold out with your beautiful words.
Much enjoyed. I don't get far with nature poems, though oceans will inspire me to try.

JM, Catalina, thanks so much.  I think at the moment I am better off sticking with the nature stuff, the love stuff is just to heavy now.  Thanks and hugs.
