Now I feel this urgent need
Pen in hand instead of read
Too long dry
Tears in my eye
But words wish will not heed

Softly crying this pain I feel
Scoff not at me, I fear tis real
Wish now a word
My voice unheard
End thus silent ordeal

Jealous of the words you write
I read them here night after night
How many more
As I keep score
My verse now seems so trite

I would imagine it is usually the other way around.. I know for me it is...

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.

NEVER. Don't know what you've been reading, but Shar? you could never be trite. And it's only natural that a pen make a writer hungry.
Smiles and love you.

Sharon-
   I have to echo serenity.
Nothing trite about your verse, my friend.
I always enjoy reading the wonders that
   spill from your pen.

Me too, I am with Cindy, a great poem about someone somewhere, and extremely well done to catch the emotion too!

AH! Now this one IS about me...I see you all writing along, posting poems daily and I am very jealous. I'm in a big writing slump and can't get my thoughts together to write.. Thank you for your kind words...if you could just send me some inspiration I'd appreciate it!

when lack of inspire
becomes an ire
think of thoughts
that would transpire
and heed not
the lack of word
for in the end
'tis your voice heard...

Tell it "not" to come, and it will bang down your door.

Maybe Lady's reverse psychology will work.  Even when you're not writing...you're not writing better than most anyone I know!

Seems I am not the only one with block. *sigh*. This does not comfort me though. I always enjoy your verse so.

like I've said before. . . everyone writes at their own pace. . . some all the time, some take longer with theirs. . .

no need to be jealous though. . . believe me. . .

if you feel your muse is resting, your muse will return, think of it as being renewed or on vacation and I don't think you have anything to be jealous of!

Nothing you write, could ever be 'trite'..
You've given much more than you've taken...
And there have been times, when just reading your lines,
has helped me feel much less forsaken!

Love your writing, my friend....always have, and this one is no exception!!

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...

Methinks that trite is NOT an accurate description at all... besides, you've got good stuff happening at home to distract you...
