A princess, gnomes and even a troll,
add a Viking, strong and bold.
From ghostly mists dragonships creep,
out of hidden fjords, icy and deep.
From land of birth, they could not stay,
the Viking could wait for another day.

The gentle princess he had to protect,
his liege had chosen him in select.
Battle cries with clashes, still rang in his ears,
as he spirited her away, eyes washed with tears.
Her family gone, now all alone,
but for the Viking and crew who would atone.

Many an adventure came their way,
from mountain top to underground stay.
Oceans they sailed in their unending quest,
to place their princess in her home nest.
The princess and Viking became very close,
and then one day…..

The speaker paused and gave a smile,
telling the crowd that was all for a while.
Surely only a tale, he heard being said,
he laughed outloud, tossing back his head.
Believe what you wish of the nature of things,
past lives and loves are of what I sing

Sing I may of what is now ancient dust,
but people did live, even if the swords do rust.
Maybe it is true and maybe it is not,
that people will meet that never forgot.
So is it a tale that only I say? Or one I lived that very day.
With those parting words, he walked away.

In this song of Viking lore
you have opened portal's door
to a season's quest for all time

Enjoyable and luring...  I especially like the unexpected "story-teller twist" at the end, along with the questioning of what is reality, really?  Eager for more, Logan -- you have a knack with tales and lore...
