Love's Distorted Ember

Distorted ember glowing in a fog of uncertainty
Climbing the heavens behind a drape of anxiety
Wisps of laced vanity offering a modest shield
Enticing the eyes of tomorrow into love's guild

Innocent growth bows to seduction of experience
Romancing despair born of unbridled resistance
Comfort in quiet faith loosens a solemn embrace
Entwining our hearts eternally upon Luna's face

Horizon of faded glory illuminated in assurance
Aurora's dispense fear in breaths of confidence
Freedom soars among the constellations of peace
As the dawn of today endorses our eternal lease

Blackholes of loneliness no longer sing on earth
As we cherish the melody of angels in our birth
A path traveled in unison celebrates early morn
As robes of love are what we will forever adorn

Mark--it is so good to see you!!!  This poem is pure romance...

"Comfort in quiet faith loosens a solemn embrace
Entwining our hearts eternally upon Luna's face"

The whole poem is exceptional, but this above touched me with its feeling of being more then just passion...which love should be...right?   Sigh!  Hugs to you Mark...you have been missed!!!

Hey you...this is a magnificent piece, and the lines are even and everything!     Beautiful write, as always, m'friend...you've still got it, and I'm sure you always will...these are some seriously awesome rhymes and the cadence, well, that just goes without saying...so, did I mention that I love it??

You held me right to the end, and romantic yes, but love for sure!  Beautifully done.

Ah Mark ... have I told you how much I've missed you lately? Yes? Well, I hope you don't get tired of hearing it.

What a wonderful treasure to find this morning. Such beautiful rhythm and flow to these romantic sentiments, and exceptional phrasing. So much wonderfully descriptive imagery - "as robes of love are what we will forever adorn" ... simply exceptional wording my friend. Much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

MY TURN
This is classic MC poetry...
and its so good to get to read you again.
Very cool imagery and vocabulary here Mark.
I love the poetic phrases and celestial,
ethereal, essence this has...
superb use of images in nature to express the emotions...
this is romantic and full of anticipation
and of course cadence kissed...
was GROOVY to read aloud
a perfect poem to make your anticpated return with...
and ya know what the best part is...

I DIDNT HAVE TO TYPE THIS!!
No...actually thats not the best part...
the best part is seeing this...........

Mark Christopher

Welcome home cowboy...

only you could give love that satisfies the soul...

Thank you all for your wonderful replies.  I am truely appreciative of the wonderful words and friendships we share.  It is nice to be back even if it is somewhat limited on my new schedule but hey, it sure as heck beats not being here at all.  Once again, thank you all very very much.

Mark~
The beauty of your heart always shines into
your poetry...the heart doesn't lie, nor
shall the poetry...yes I remembered
This is beautiful Mark..I can't even explain
the happiness that I feel being able to read
your work again, and to see your happiness
in the pages of blue...but you know~
