Even sleep be no reprieve.
Even there--is lack of me.
Truly now I drink of Lethe--
and still cannot forget the death
of smiles and conversation shared...
I wake each day--he's still not there.

and so I bury love again...
oh dear God, I miss my friend.

Blackened sun, malingering.
How dare the birds commence to sing?
Tell me why the sun still shines
and stars at night adorn the sky?

Tell me that I'm only dreaming--
cease this noise of silence screaming.

I remember the day after a friend of mine died, walking outside to see the world still going on, not even a bump in the rhythym of the day...and I was honestly surprised.  This write from you comes on what would have been her birthday.  And I thank you for writing what I've never quite been able to get into words.

Time will sing a song
Celebration of his life
Then memories live

Scream silently, for this is the shroud of mourning, and it has no sound to anyone but you.  In time it will turn it into a song that celebrates his life and you are able to hold dear all the memories that made a wonderful relationship what it was, for he will always be alive in you, and your children!  Serenity I send my love and hope you will continue to write out the pain. (hugs)

Dear gentle Serenity,,very gentle smile, there was no death, because they are still with you, and will always be with you. And if you think..what would he have said?..I truely believe you will have the answer as if he told you, as I feel he will in your mind...hang in there through these tough times, and remember we are there for you

"Don't they know it's the end of the world....?" Silent screaming can be the loudest kind....this poem, for example.....very powerful, Karen.

When you scream
we'll hear you
When you fall
we'll catch you
When you're down
we'll lift you
When you're alone
we'll comfort you
When you write
we'll read you
we can not fill
your emptyness
But if we could
we sure would

A big warm HUG to you dear friend.

A powerful write me Sista, and just the way to help wring out the pain.

Loved these....

"How dare the birds commence to sing?"

and

"Tell me that I'm only dreaming--
cease this noise of silence screaming."

Hugs and Love Sweet Serenity

Sad and true. I have been down this path. Hugs to you.

   I love this part...

and stars at night adorn the sky?

Tell me that I'm only dreaming--
cease this noise of silence screaming."
