The time has come for me to say,
affairs of the heart, the topic of day.
The truth be known I found out true,
nothing is more certain to paint us blue.
Shattered dreams lay in the dust,
causing us to believe there is no trust.

No trust in others or our very soul,
make us withdraw our loving goal.
A heart is made to bear much pain,
for only then do we learn to gain.
In the mirror we need to look,
and tell ourselves why we got took.

If the same qualities we continually seek,
we set ourselves up to once again weep.
Feeling rejected, keeping continually sad,
when what we should be is very mad.
Don’t give satisfaction to the silly fool,
for taking your heart and your love too.

To sit and pine after love lost,
is selling the heart at a very low cost.
Are we basing our whole life on a mistake?
or do we go on whatever the take.
Stop picking the wound of the heart in its entire,
instead bear the pain of cauterizing with fire.

Fire of determination and will to live,
in your soul you have much to give.
Stop your parody of zombie dance,
open up your soul with another chance.
Cast aside your shackles that ever bind,
a lasting love you surely will find.

Logan, I feel so much truth here. It took me time to come to these truths, and a lot of pain. But I finally do believe it, and I thank you for writing so powerfully about the subject.

Logan--What Serenity said is true...and wisdom learns from being there, I've found.

You, my gentle friend, are very wise indeed.  Thank you for the sage advice.  There is much to be learned in these lines.  I like this one, into the library it goes for when I need it most.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

Yes, looking far beyond the tears
casting aside all the fears
never count back bygone years
but take direction in hope and cheer...

some of us take a little longer in learning the good lesson

Words to live by, dear Logan. However, I find that writing about such things, purges the negativity from my soul.

Logan,

Your expressions here were so lovely.
Thank you for writing this inspirational
piece--it was just the type of thing I
needed to read on this fine morning. Take
care of yourself and God bless you for
having such a sweet and caring soul...it
shines beautfully through your work.

Very wise and well written, Logan. I take these words as a lession to be learned.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

A good, swift kick in the bum here, Logan, and I thank you for making me remember what I already know and believe.  These words could help many if they but stop to consider them.
