Horizons view
Mother Earth,
land of heritage
land of birth.

Skies above,
blue as seas,
gentle winds,
blowing trees.

Splashing waves,
upon the shore,
tranquil sounds,
a healing cure.

Mountains rising
over head,
a dreamscape,
to where I'm lead.

Wisping clouds,
spread in skies,
high above,
the eagle flies.

From dust is born,
this place of peace,
in natures view,
I find release.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Oh God that is so amazing, I absolutly adore that poem, that is simply the most beutiful, well written, meaningful poem I have read in mounths, the way you have captured that feeling of how beutiful and peaceful it can be to gaze in to nature and the world around us . And such nice short sharp lines and rhymes aswell - brilliant .
Thankyou so very much .

I enjoyed this.  The cadence was wonderful, the subject matter one of my favorites.  To see the mountains, the eagles.  What a joy that must have been!  *s*

Well, you knew I couldn't resist a nature poem didn't you?  This was a beautiful read and just from the feeling behind the words I can tell that you truely enjoyed this day.  I loved the flow in this piece but more than that, I truely loved the excellent images and sereneness that was conveyed to the reader.  Well done.  Now how about more nature poems from you.  Yeah, so I am a little greedy, but hey ........ life is short.

Well Mr. Mark.......I indeed posted something at your request, and do appreciate
your kind comments very much.  The day was a much needed get a way and was indeed
beautiful......one of those kind of days that helps to heal the soul and help one look inside.
Life is short, so I guess it is ok if your being greedy for once!!  Thank you.....:}

Nicely written piece. Nature holds so many joy's and can be very inspring.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.
