Wrapped in
the barbed wire
of your words
there are too many
places to bleed

too many wounds
to salve with this
small remnant of love
torn from what
used to be

Each move
only drives deeper
or cuts anew

I cannot escape
these entanglements
without scars

Definitely intense and dramatic.  Amazing how when words are infused with tone, inflection, volume, body-language, and motive, they can be as you describe and worse...
