Something Simple

coal turns into diamonds
sand becomes a pearl
the simple things of life
forever transform our world
don’t ever stop your seeking
for true bliss to find
just don’t discount the simple
as it passes entwined
whether standing still
or movement in your flow
notice the true beauty
something simple can bestow

"...the rest is silence" (Hamlet)  Shakespeare

Simplicity has always been underated. Glad I am to read that it is appreciated and honored by the words of a friend.

Never thought of how many precious gems start from something so simple and base...great analogy!  Have missed you and your words.

its just that simple
truth means more than flattery
tell it as it is

1slick_lady-
   Ah yes...very true, poet friend.
It's so important to pay attention
to the simple things in life.
   Nicely expressed.

This is a great reminder to cherish life, both the complex parts and the simple parts. Great poem!

simplicity is magnificence...at least here in your poem and in its words/message and what it reveals
