2:45 A.M. Serenade

rumbling stumbled
onto glass panes
crashed along
in the wake
of striking

I ticked off the
seconds
rolling with
the rumble again

my Muse, amused,
and thus enthused
started harking
on sounds of sparking
with her 2:45 serenade

she briefly
kicked me around
and I thought it sound
to reach and stretch for pad
and pen

but
I rolled into you again
held on to you again
as your whispering
led me in

Muse hiked....

I lolled
within your quietness
held you warm between caress
then led you along in some
confess

for we never see us in a mess
nor claim we're under any
duress

then
found again
some sleeping time
until the 4:45 cannon
primed

rumbling stumbled
onto glass panes
crashed along
in the wake
of striking

rolling with
the rumble again

thinking of all
that had been before
I reached
and found dreams
amour

your place empty
as were my arms

thunder's alarm brought
me to full awake

my Muse hiked
on back to me,
for having dreamed
of only you
and in the grasp
of certainty
I,
left alone,
but for Muse
and me

~*~

with much thanks to my Muse for never quite leaving me entirely alone....

Quite the tune it seems
was sung to you in your dreams
still in all the muse does find
most fertile ground in your mind

Nicely done.. I enjoyed!
