I am still here
Looking for the
Shade of your smile
And the relief of
Your arms

I have not deserted
The hope that the
Oasis of love
We shared
Was not a mirage

I am still here
Waiting for the
Rains to fall and
Relieve this parched
Heart’s need.

My roots have
Gone deeply into
The soil where
We planted our lives
And I will endure

I am still here…

I've heard
that love
never fails,
so as surely
as seasons
shall change
repeating it's
cycle as it has
done faithfully
for eons,
I too
am still here...

Very touching write, Captain

this is so powerfully strong, captain,
it pulls my heart to ache for youand to understand the cry, fully,
I, too, was particularly touched by the same
stanza as SEA

You write in such a way as the reader is physically affected and touched, that "did he write this for me" thought skips across brainpans and lands in the fire, sizzling....

Excellent!

A fine line between Faith & Hope and stagnation & reality -- I've been there for circular epochs...  Strong emotions here, Ron.
