In this space
Between the letters
And lines
Lies as much
As is penned.

I read slowly
Savoring the words
As they dripped
Out of my mouth
And slid down
My chin

To see them
Sopped up
By the spaces
And new ones form
From their dying

In this space,

This one...

I tasted you
And relished
The stains
left

between

the letters

and lines

this is a fantastic piece
involving so many of the senses
the 6th one, as well, I think

and I have to tell you
as I read the words dripping down your chin
I was eating the best canteloupe
of the summer
and I so needed the sopping of the spaces

you enhanced even the joy of it

I hope you don't mind
adding this sense to your luscious poem
scrumptious indeed

love your comment to Tiersden, RT tee hee

Thanks VAS.. appreciate the image of eating the cantelope... and in manyways..the spaces and the words are like ripe fruit...to be savored in season..

Cpat...I have looked between words and under lines before, but never saw such juice.  Loved the thought of this!
